Privacy Policy

What we collect, how your projects and media are handled, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: September 21, 2026

Orelin (“Orelin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a browser-based platform that helps you create, customize, and export animated content and creative projects.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how your projects and uploaded media are handled, and the choices available to you when using Orelin.

By using Orelin, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1 Information We Collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Orelin.

1.1 Account Information

When you create or use an Orelin account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account identifier
  • Authentication information
  • Basic profile information provided through a supported sign-in provider

If you sign in using a third-party authentication provider, such as Google, we may receive basic account information provided by that provider.

We do not receive or store your third-party account password.

1.2 Project and Editor Data

Orelin is designed as a browser-based creative application.

Your projects, project settings, editor state, template configurations, and related project data are stored locally in your browser using browser storage technologies such as IndexedDB and local storage.

This means that your projects are designed to remain on your device and browser rather than being stored as cloud projects on Orelin’s servers.

1.3 Uploaded Images, Videos, and Other Media

Your uploaded media stays in your browser.

When you add images, videos, or other supported files to an Orelin project, those files are handled locally by your browser as part of the normal editor workflow.

Your uploaded source files are not uploaded to or permanently stored on Orelin’s servers as part of the normal editing experience.

Orelin does not maintain a cloud-based library of your uploaded source media.

Your original media remains under your control on your device.

1.4 Exported Content

Orelin provides browser-based tools for generating exported animations and creative content.

Unless a specific feature states otherwise, exported files are generated and delivered to your device rather than being retained by Orelin as permanent cloud files.

You are responsible for saving exported files that you want to keep.

1.5 Payment and Subscription Information

Orelin uses Stripe to process payments and subscriptions.

When you purchase an Orelin paid plan, payment information may be collected and processed by Stripe. This may include information such as your name, email address, billing information, transaction details, subscription information, payment status, refund information, and other information required to process or secure a transaction.

Orelin does not need to store your full payment card number when payment processing is handled through Stripe.

Stripe may process payment-related information for purposes including payment processing, authentication, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, and related payment services.

Stripe’s own privacy practices also apply to information processed through its services.

1.6 Support and Communications

If you contact Orelin, we may collect information contained in your communication, including:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Account information
  • Information you choose to provide
  • Details about the issue or request

We use this information to respond to you, provide support, investigate issues, and improve our services.

1.7 Technical and Usage Information

When you access Orelin, we may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.

This may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Approximate geographic region
  • Pages or features accessed
  • Date and time of requests
  • Error information
  • Diagnostic information
  • Basic service usage information

We use this information primarily for security, troubleshooting, service reliability, analytics, and product improvement.

2 Your Creative Content

2.1 You Own Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload to or create using Orelin, including:

  • Images
  • Videos
  • Designs
  • Text
  • Logos
  • Artwork
  • Animations
  • Other original creative materials

Using Orelin does not transfer ownership of your original creative content to us.

2.2 We Do Not Claim Ownership

Orelin does not claim ownership of your uploaded media, projects, or original creative work.

Your use of Orelin does not give us ownership of the content you create.

2.3 Browser-Based Storage

Because Orelin uses browser-based storage for projects and uploaded media, your creative work is stored locally on your device.

This means:

  • Your projects may not automatically appear on another device.
  • Your projects may not automatically appear in another browser.
  • Clearing Orelin’s browser/site data may permanently delete locally stored projects and media.
  • Private or incognito browsing may not preserve your projects.
  • Browser, device, operating-system, or storage issues may result in loss of locally stored data.
  • Orelin cannot guarantee recovery of projects or media that are deleted or lost from your browser.

For important work, we recommend keeping your own backups of original media and exported files.

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process
  • Respond to valid legal requests
  • Protect the rights, safety, or property of Orelin, our users, or others
  • Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or other unlawful activity
  • Enforce our Terms of Service
  • Protect the integrity and security of the service

5 Uploaded Media and Cloud Storage

Orelin is designed around a browser-first architecture.

Your uploaded images, videos, and other source media are handled locally by your browser during the normal editor workflow.

Orelin does not upload or permanently store your source media on its servers as part of the normal editing experience.

Similarly, your browser-based projects are not maintained as cloud projects by Orelin.

This means Orelin is not intended to function as a cloud backup or cloud storage service for your creative files.

If you clear your browser’s stored site data, lose access to your device, change browsers, or otherwise remove locally stored data, Orelin may not be able to recover those projects or files.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important creative work.

6 Cookies and Similar Technologies

Orelin may use cookies, local storage, IndexedDB, and similar technologies to operate the service.

These technologies may be used to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Maintain essential functionality
  • Store your projects and editor data locally
  • Remember preferences
  • Improve performance
  • Understand general service usage
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Maintain security
  • Prevent abuse

Some technologies may be necessary for Orelin to function properly.

You can manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. However, disabling or clearing certain technologies may affect Orelin’s functionality or remove locally stored projects.

7 Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Account, authentication, subscription, payment, support, security, and transaction-related information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

Your uploaded source media and browser-based projects are not normally retained on Orelin’s servers.

Because this data is stored locally in your browser, the retention of your projects depends on your browser and device.

8 Deleting Your Data

You can delete locally stored Orelin projects and media through available Orelin controls or by clearing Orelin’s stored site data from your browser.

Please be aware that clearing browser data may permanently remove projects, editor settings, and source media stored locally in that browser.

If you want to request deletion of personal information associated with your Orelin account, contact:

We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.

Some information may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, maintain transaction records, or protect the security of Orelin and its users.

These rights may include:

  • Requesting access to personal information we hold about you
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate information

10 International Data Processing

Orelin and its third-party service providers may operate in different countries.

As a result, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that applicable safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.

11 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

Orelin’s browser-based architecture also means that much of your creative data remains on your own device instead of being stored on our servers.

However, no website, internet connection, browser, device, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, browser, account credentials, and backups.

12 Third-Party Services and Links

Orelin may use third-party services for functions such as:

  • Email delivery
  • Analytics
  • Security

13 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Orelin, our services, technology, legal requirements, or our data practices.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of Orelin after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
